Ah, the classic, enduring Chanel. Coco Chanel’s brilliant perspective on women’s clothing and accessories took functionality and practicality and made it beautiful and luxurious. This focus went into her clothing, her bags, and her shoes. Even Chanel’s stilettos are amazingly comfortable and I can tell that these would be dreamy to wear as well. I am in total agreement with how Chanel changed women’s fashions, which is probably one of the reasons why Chanel still is as lust-worthy as ever, even 100 years later. Comfort and aesthestic do not always go hand in hand, but that is what makes these shoes Chanel. Inquire at your local boutique or call 800.550.0005. You can get more details here.

There is nothing that I love better than online shopping armed with coupon codes. My weekend just got better when Funky Lala announced that they are having a sale all weekend until Sunday night 11:59 pm EST! Just type in TAKE20 at checkout to receive a 20% discount off your order. They have a great selection of designers: Botkier, Foley+Corinna, Gryson, Rebecca Minkoff, and Sissi Rossi to name just a few. Click here to find a great deal. Here’s some of the things that I’ve been lusting for:
I narrowed it down to a sweet pair of leather boots that I posted about earlier, and two pairs of sexy heels to toss in as well. 🙂 Click on images to see details on where to purchase.
I need a new pair of neutral-colored pumps. I think my only pair are over four years old. 😯 probably time for some new ones don’t you think? But I want round toe. My last pair had the pointed toes and I like it, its classy, but I am craving round at the moment, not angular. I also want a hidden platform, it’s sexy, elongates your legs even more, and gives you the little extra height. And my next pair cannot be bo-ring or blah. How did I come up with a solution? snakeskin pumps. Edgier than the normal fare. I fell in love with Loeffler Randall pumps above, because they give me all that and more. They also come in a darker, chocolate brown, if light brown isn’t enough oomph. You can purchase through Saks for $450.
After my last post, I realized that I am in love with a lot of red sole shoes, the beautiful Christian Louboutins. The man is a genius. He knows how to find the Imelda Marcos in all of us and I am helpless in the wake. All I can do is dream of beautiful shoes and sigh.
I have been craving red soles. I never thought a single pair of shoes could be so fantastically priced though. Remember the days of a pair of designer heels costing $300? Well this man changed all that. You can either cry about it or thank him for making shoes so gorgeous. I’m more of a bag girl than a shoe girl, but even I can’t deny the beauty that is there. It’s a work of art even my husband could appreciate. I love the leather folds, the soft detailing, the shoe looks utterly delicate but sexy at the same time. Even better is that this pair has a matching bag. The bag received a lot of grief from bag addicts, but I actually like it. It’s different, but the leather looks impeccable and I wouldn’t mind stepping out the door with it. You can purchase both through Saks. The shoes for $895 and/or the bag for $1,995.
I just can’t make up my mind on a pair of boots. There are too many styles! I always have the problem with the upper part of the boot being too loose around my leg. I hate that! I want it to be streamlined with my jeans or a skirt…not stick out and look like rain boots. Does anyone else have that problem? I measured my calf and am trying to find boots that are near that circumference. Of course I’ll need an extra inch or two for skinny jeans or leggings, but I want it as fitted as possible. grrr. I’m stubborn enough to find that perfect fit too. But I did find several styles to put me in the right direction:
This is an actual “riding” boot, but you know you’re paying for durability and the real deal. Buy through Dover Saddlery for $239.90.
Derek Lam’s bags and shoes just call to me. A siren’s call. I am hypnotized by the design of his shoes at the moment. They are stunning. The quality speaks to that part of me that loves beautiful things, like a moth attracted to the flame. And if I bought every single shoe of his that met my fancy, my money would practically be up in flames as well. Shopbop currently has three of his shoes that I’m drooling for.
Price ranges from $695 to $995. Yep, all things in moderation. You can click on the images to find out details or go to Shopbop and drool over all things Derek Lam here.
I have seen a lot of motorcycle, ass-kicking boots. Some of them costing upwards to $1000, which is way way too much for me. But then I stumbled upon Geox, who makes breathable, waterproof shoes. Built for comfort and keeping your feet dry, these nappa leather boots are the perfect practical, but stylish boot I’ve seen in awhile. I would ride these on the motorcycle and then when I am in a Bad-Ass® mood. Yeah you heard me. I think it’s the laces on the back that turn me on. Comes in antique black or coffee, you can buy through the ever-amazing Zappos for $229.
I remember being in love with a pair of Coach boots two years ago that were a lot more expensive than these. But this pair is so much cuter! I haven’t tried this exact pair on yet, but they seem like once you get them broken in, they would be a dream to wear around this winter. Comes in black or chestnut, but chestnut is only available at Coach Legacy boutiques or calling 877.262.2404. Or Buy through their website for $398.
